It’s common to see ‘consultants’, ‘analysts’ and ‘agencies’ who make everything as complicated as possible. And quite often pick an approach that’s overcomplicated and a rabbit whole that requires way more time than necessary.
I like to keep things simple and make sure my clients actually understand what we’re doing, and why we’re doing it. Where everything makes sense.
When I’m not working on client sites, I run a portfolio of my own websites. Some of which average 50,000 visitors each month. These site’s are mainly in affiliate marketing and lead generation. But I’m also looking into starting something in Ecommerce.
I strongly believe if you give advice you have to follow it as well. Rather than being the average consultant who doesn’t have any of their own skin in the game, I practice what I preach.
Every business is different and not every business will need SEO! Some industries or specific cases are better off using other marketing channels.
I always first review a potential clients site and industry to make sure they can actually benefit significantly from SEO. A lot of agencies or consultants will bill a set number of hours irrespective if it’s actually worth while or not.
I on the other hand, have no interest in SEO projects where there’s no real benefit for the client. I’m here to drive serious amounts of traffic. Not blindly bill clients.
The projects I like to work on the most, are the ones where there’s a massive amount of opportunity for the client. Where we can drive a huge amount of traffic relatively easily. Where the competition has gotten slack and we can take advantage of it. Larger projects where we’re aiming quite high are my favourite.

From there I present the plan to you, including costs, hours other requirements (writers, developers) and potential dangers and what we can generally expect into terms of best and worse case scenario’s.
